Once in Byron, we headed to the Lighthouse, the most easterly point on the mainland, and then down to the beach. We saw some whales and dolphins, but I had forgotten my binoculars this trip...bummer! Byron Bay is pretty much amazing, and a place to definitely go back to. We stayed overnight, hung out on the beach the next day, and then headed back home. Here are a few more pics...

Byron Bay
A few weekends ago, Sarah and I ventured down to Byron Bay. This is just on the other side of the border between Queensland and New South Wales. Along the way we saw a huge Avocado sign (yes, please) for Tropical Fruit World. We figured it would be worth stopping by to check it out. We got there, were greeted by a HUGE avocado, and proceeded in to the cafe where we divulged into a fruit parfait (looked better than it actually was, mind you). We didn't stay for any tours since we were anxious to get down to the beach.
